The TLA and its members proudly joined 275 foresters in signing this open letter to British Columbians to address the forest industry’s collective concerns about the impending old growth decisions.

The letter is signed by the heads of small, medium, large and Indigenous-
owned forestry companies, contractors and suppliers. Signatories also include
associations, labour groups and leaders whose members represent the
100,000 jobs and hundreds of communities supported by BC’s forest sector
across the value chain – from lumber, and pulp and paper to secondary
manufacturing and value-added production.

The open letter is being issued as the BC Government continues to
implement recommendations coming out of the Old Growth Strategic
Review and the subsequent processes it has put in place.
